MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's controlled vocabulary.

MeSH terminology helps you retrieve information from databases using a 'language' the database understands!

For example: using myocardial infarction instead of heart attack

You can look up a MeSH term usually at the top of the page of the database OR you can discover it through your searches in the records of relevant records/articles.
