HCC Library uses the Library of Congress call number system. It is an alpha-numeric system.
The first part of the call number is a letter. Letters go A-Z, from left to right in the stacks, then follow the numbers in chronological order.
Note the location of your item. Stacks items check out, Reference must be used in the library, and Reserves are kept behind the library desk.
If you need help locating a book, bring a call number to a member of the library staff.
